Aden, I don't know how much you'll remember as you grow older. You are nearly three. And for almost every Sunday of your life, you visited your great-great grandmother for lunch. You were the star of her week. You took your lunch and sat beside her and sang all your songs and shared your treats and told her about all the interesting things you've been doing since the previous week you visited. As a baby, you would ride back to her room on her lap, staying as still as a doll. She loved to hold you and show you off to the other residents. When you got older, you knew just the right time to stop riding in her lap and instead started pushing her to her room. You couldn't even see over the chair, but you took your duty seriously and got her all the way there safely.
Inside her room, you knew just where the candy tin was and you filled your pockets. Then you went for the chap stick and then gazed at all the baubles on her night stand - the last favorite being a penguin snow globe that you couldn't get enough of. As we left the room each week, you kissed her goodbye. You knew your way around and everyone knew just who you were. I hope some of these memories stay with you for a long time.
Ethan, you are not yet born. I am so sorry that you didn't get to meet MaMa. Didn't get to look at her and see her face brighten. But three months before you were born, your angel got her wings.

A moving tribute to a beautiful soul. May God bless her and keep her near as she watches over your family.
Wow Chris, I didn't know MaMa was Aden's Great-Great Grandma. What a special gift that he was able to spend so much time with her. That was a beautiful tribute.
