So much for buying ahead.

Last year after Halloween, I got a REALLY great deal at Children's Place when they had their costumes on sale for $1. Of course at that price, sizes are limited but I found this adorable robot costume that I thought would fit Ethan around this coming Halloween so I got it.

I ran across it today while I was in his closet and realized it will never fit him at Halloween. After trying it on, I found that it doesn't even fit him NOW! SO much for my great deal.

But, he sure is adorable anyway.

Well, I got my dollars worth anyway.



More Pool Time, Loving Summer!

Pool time! We met up with Lola, Papa and Lindsey and hit the pool for some holiday weekend fun. Aden learned to "swim" with a life jacket on! So he is feeling pretty good about being independent in the water. Ethan, who used to be a natural little fish, seems a little more reserved this year. But, it's the first real pool weekend, so I'm sure he'll get back into the hang of it really quickly.

Later, the boys got a chance to fish with Papa, which they love. Aden got a new Spiderman fishing pole!

Memorial Day Weekend BEGINS!

The boys and I began Memorial weekend with pizza for dinner and movie night - complete with popcorn. Movie of the night: Tangled.

We all had such a great night!



Pool Time in the Backyard

So it's pretty hot right now in Texas. We couldn't find the plug from last years pool, so Ethan and I ran to the store and got a new one for this year. A & E had a blast! Ethan especially enjoys being Master of the Garden Hose.

Two days later, we invited Mia and Ava over for some pool fun too. Ava wasn't so sure about it all and was more than content just to watch the action. Mia fit right in!

Another Belt Test under his... um... belt.

Aden had another belt test this past Friday and he rocked it! He has a tendency to sort of goof off and be silly at certain points of his classes, but he took his belt testing very seriously and I was proud. He didn't break the board (this time), but he will break that board soon. And lets face it, check out that board! But his patterns were great and I can tell he is learning a lot. And Aden got a blue star for "most improved!" We are SO proud!

Oklahoma Visits Texas

I feel like I'm running about a week or two behind on all my blog posts these days. We did have a very fun visit recently from some very special people, and Aden and Ethan enjoyed being surrounded by people their size. Here are some photos from that weekend...
