Six Flags in The Rain

It's my last week of materinty leave and I wanted to keep Aden out of school for a day and do something fun. Today was a rainy day with temperatures staying under 90 degrees, so it was perfect. Mom and I took Aden and Ethan to Six Flags. We just knew no one else would be silly enough to go on a rainy Monday. So no lines! It did rain off and on throughout the day and we ended up soaked, but it was a lot of fun, and not HOT.

Aden was so big, standing by himself for pictures with characters, and even going on some rides all by himself. Today was also the first day Aden went into a public bathroom stall by himself, which was not planned at all. I'm still not sure how I feel about that.

It was also a big first for Ethan. It's so hot right now that I can't even take him outside. Today, he got to hang out outside the whole day and he loved it. Even the rain couldn't dampen his fun.

Look at me!

I'm big and strong!

Doogoland

We took the boys to Doogoland today. It's an "open play" facility that opened recently near our house. Aden had a pretty good time! They have little areas like a play house, a dentist office, lots of road space to ride bikes and cars, a grocery store, a race car/lego area, a dress up and tea party room, an arcade and more. Even a parent room with wi-fi where all the rooms are shown on TV's so you can watch your kids.

You may be wondering what Ethan was doing at Doogoland. This....

And growing... and growing...

LOOK AT ALL MY HAIR!!!

My Beautiful Boy

I love these pictures of Aden. They are so...... Aden.

Ethan's Littlest Buddy

Aden gave this giraffe to Ethan when Ethan was crying, hoping it would cheer him up. It didn't, but he sure didn't let it go either and in fact has been pretty much hanging onto that giraffe ever since.

I'm annoyed.

It is driving me crazy that this new layout makes my photos partially transparent. They look "muddy." I can't figure out how to change that either. Comment if you know!

Various Ethan Pictures

Here are some random photos of Ethan that I took this week. I'm just so glad to have a camera battery again!

Look at all the hair on my monkey!

Aden - The Photographer

Aden grabs my camera from time to time and takes shots of various things. Mostly of the floor. But here are a couple that Ethan and I made it in. (One is red because Aden puts his fingers over the flash).

Impatience

Aden CAN NOT wait to play with Ethan in this thing. I keep telling him Ethan is still too little, and we'll have to wait until he's bigger. Every day, Aden tells me Ethan is bigger. So I put Ethan in here to show Aden how he's too small. Ethan was not so much amused.

One Month Old!

Did you find us?

I worried about changing the blog name, since so many people just have us saved to their blog roll or favorites lists. What a hassle! But in the end, it just couldn't remain "adenelwell" any longer. We have two boys now! So please leave a comment if you found us, so that I don't worry that no one will ever read my blog again. :) Look for the blog header to change soon as well!

Maternity Leave

We're still just plugging along here while I'm on maternity leave. All of us just getting used to each other. Aden has been such a wonderful big brother. He is concerned when Ethan cries, wants to help me wash his clothes and bottles and tells all his friends at school all about his baby brother. It's heart warming. My camera broke this week, so pictures may be scarce for a while. Only 3 more weeks of maternity leave and then I go back to work. I'm going to miss seeing Ethan's little face all day long.

Born to Rock

Ethan has blonde curls that form a natural mohawk. We're not sure where that comes from, but it sure is cute!

First Bath

Ethan finally got a chance to have a big boy bath and he is a fan! He is not a fan of being wet and cold though, but neither am I. But being in the water calms him. I think we have another water baby on our hands!

Happy 4th of July!

Ethan's due date was the fourth, so we wanted to make sure we really celebrated. We started the evening with some serious train playing. Aden shares so well!

Then we shuttled over to the Mansfield Sports Arena for some fireworks. Aden was so happy to ride a bus. He was "woooo-hoooing" and "yeee-hawing" the whole way.

We're here! They had bounce houses and rides and food and live bands. Aden was in heaven.

Ethan relaxed on the picnic blanket for a while, just enjoying the sun before it set.

After a little pizza break, it got dark enough for fireworks.

Aden was pretty impressed and still talked about them the next day. Only once, during a big one, did he admit they were a little scary. But overall, he thought they were very pretty. Ethan stayed awake during the whole show too!
