How we play on a rainy day

We are so thankful for the rain. It brought the high's down about 15 degrees! But you can't sit at home and wait out a rainy day when you have two antsy boys. So we knew we had to get them out of the house. All the usual places for rainy days were really busy though (with people who had the same idea). My friend Kelly at Wiki-Hayden said there was a 30 minute waiting line at the museum exhibits. Yeah, that wouldn't go over well with any of my boys - including daddy. So we went to Academy and did this...

Lining up their putt...

Then we headed to Toys-R-Us and did this...

Ethan was all about the train table (even though we have one) and had a train in both hands when all of a sudden Geoffrey the giraffe walked by. He stopped dead in his tracks and with wide eyes he tossed the trains on the ground and took off after the largest, softest stuffed animal he'd ever seen.

Of course he didn't want to get too close. But Aden went in for the hugs.

Ethan is such a great climber lately. I know - every mother's dream. He climbed up onto this bike, and he climbs out of carts now and out of the bath tub, and onto tables... you get the idea.

Aden is a really great big brother. He takes care of Ethan and makes sure he's having a good time too. I just love my little boy with the big heart.
