So far so good with potty training. Aden has been staying dry all day and even dry many nights (about half). He's great about pottying in public restrooms too, which I was worried about. We still aren't over the hump of pooping in his underwear though. This is quite a challenge. He has completely set his mind to not doing it in the potty. He just doesn't want to.
We have been keeping busy with getting things ready for Ethan's arrival. Aden has been asking a lot about him. He wants to see him so badly. He asks to go to Ethan's house, and then we have to talk about where Ethan is right now. Aden: "In your belly." And that he'll come live with us when he's big enough. When we go shopping, Aden picks stuff out that he thinks Ethan would want (no Aden, Ethan doesn't need gummi worms). And when we color, he wants me to put his drawings up in Ethan's room because he thinks, "Ethan will really like it." It warms my heart to see how much of a connection they have already. After all, Aden knew about Ethan before we even knew I was pregnant.
And he rocks Minnie in the swing - good practice!

Aden is the sweetest boy ever!! I hope Ava is half as sweet as Aden is when her little sisters come!!
It's the oddest thing but the way we knew Keaton was ready to start potty training is that he was dry all night every night! At 2 years 7 months we had one (rare) week where we could devote time to potty training without distraction. Day 1 at home we put the potty in the play area & reminded him to try the potty. Day 2 was risked with an outdoor park visit & he was fine about peeing in the public potty. There have been a few accidents since then, but rare. It was as easy as that. You think I'm gloating right? there's more to the story...pooping is a completely different story! He still refuses to poop on the potty. Can you believe it??
