T-Ball Time!

Aden had his first baseball practice tonight (it had been rained out twice). He was shy at first, didn't want to go out with the other kids but quickly got over that and had a bunch of fun. He's been working on his baseball skills at Lola and Papa's house, so he was actually looking pretty good out there.

(check out those clouds!)

Ethan also had a good time. He sat back on this red chair for the first half and just enjoyed the show. But by the second half of practice, he was trying to get down there and play ball too.

While Ethan was on the chair, he'd clap and cheer and it was absolutely adorable.

So Aden is a big fan and there may be more than a few baseball games in our future.

Three Days to Sea World

This photo was taken three days before we left for Sea World. That blue winged thing on his back is his dragon backpack. He already had it packed and ready to go. He was so excited. The night before we left, I had to unload every hot wheel he owned, plus about 3 pounds of various other toys so that I could pack his actual car trip activities. It was pretty cute.

I do have Sea World pictures coming, but since I forgot to bring my battery charger, I have to wait on getting the photos from mom. Coming soon!

Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Cheeks

Today is my baby boy's very first birthday and I can't help but feel a little nostalgic. One year ago, I was giving birth to what I assumed was a healthy boy after what appeared only as a normal, average pregnancy only to find out moments after his birth that the odds were against him being born alive.

But he was born alive, and he was healthy and I thank God for that every day. He has spent the last year carving his own footprint in our lives, bringing his own personality and spirit into our family and making it absolutely clear that we couldn't have lived well without him.

I hope to have MANY more birthdays with my little miracle munchkin. I love you Ethan.

Month by month, except that months 6, 7, 8 and 10 with the soccer ball are stuck on the pc that crashed.

Hooray for Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Adam!

The boys got their daddy a new golf shirt (Aden picked out the Batman bag to wrap it in, and immediately after Adam opened it, Aden asked if he happened to have a bag he could keep his cars in), and a "SuperDad" book with Adam's face on nearly every page. It turned out so cute!

When Ethan saw the cover, he pointed to Adam saying, "Da da!"

Daddy read the story to the boys. Not sure what was so funny... maybe the part about daddy wrestling alligators?
