Is it bad?

Is it bad that I laugh when I hear Aden getting really upset with his golf balls when they don't go in the hole, and then he puts them in "time out?" I know he's really mad and I probably shouldn't be laughing but it is about the funniest thing ever. Especially when he gives praise to the ball that does go in the hole. What a cutie he is.

David Beckham?

Lola signed Aden up for teeny tiny soccer! Aden's first game is next Saturday at 10am. I'm sure he'll be super cute out there in all his soccer glory. I can't wait to see him in his first official little soccer jersey. Awww!

Possibly the best $19.99 I ever spent

It's been cold and rainy and pretty gross outside, which means Aden and I have been stuck in the house all weekend. So last night, we decided to pack up and go to the toy store and find something really great to play with inside the house. What we found (besides a package of 12 bouncy balls that Aden said he just had to have, which I hid on shelves 3 times and he in turn found again and gave me those sweet little eyes that I can't say no to) was GATOR GOLF!

It's awesome! We love it! It's a little orange alligator that you can hit golf balls into and it returns them with a flick of the tail. Aden played this all night long, and woke up running to it. He's been playing with it now this morning for over 2 hours. I'd say it's already paid for itself.

Ethan's Throne

We have a hand-me-down car seat from my brother that we planned to use for the new baby, but it is PINK. So when we found out we were having a boy, I ordered a custom cover for the car seat. It came yesterday! I love it, it is so soft and wonderful to touch, and just as cute as can be. And it comes with a car seat blanket and two seat belt covers. Now all I need is a sweet little baby to put in it!

Wow - progress!

Well, starting Saturday morning, we took off the painter's tape to see how the stripes turned out and they are BEAUTIFUL! The pictures really don't do them any justice, although you can see the contrast a little. Then we began putting up the paneling....This is our friend Steve, also known as home improvement guru around my house:

Aden made a little appearance to check out our progress (this was one day before he got his hair cut, poor guy):

Paneling up, trim needed:

Trim up, still need some detail work at the creases:

Detail work completed and it's all sealed!! Here's my awesome mom:
Paneling and trim - DONE! Now for the crown molding:

And VOILA!!!! Nearly complete! The only thing I have left to do is some minor paint touch up and paint the trim a high gloss white. See how it's just a touch more muted than the paneling?

We also (thank you Papa!) moved this desk out into it's new spot in the house:

Another Room Update

Taping a room for stripes takes a LONG time! It took my mom and I three hours to complete the room. (Really just her, she did most of the work). We thought we would be able to paint too, but we ran out of time. Here are some shots of the room finally taped for the painted stripes....
